Exact fit holders are frames designed around a specific card dimension. Compatible holders are slightly larger frames that intentionally leave a border around the card. Multi-size holders use clips, slots or open stands and can work with several label sizes.

Half-page station sign

The two station-sign formats print on ordinary letter paper and carry no Avery® code — go by the cut size instead.
Want to skip the holder? Use a fold tent.
The half-page station sign, 5.5" × 8.5", prints around a centre crease. Fold on the score and it stands on the table by itself — nothing to buy, nothing to store between events.
Two variants are available in the Customize step. A single fold prints the design once, so the tent reads from one side — the right choice against a wall or a chafer. A double fold prints it mirrored, so both faces carry the label and an island station reads from either direction.
This is the only BanquetLabel format that prints as a self-standing tent. The four Avery® formats and the full-page sign print flat, so those need a holder to stand up.
Slant-back, upright or easel
Three shapes cover every format. Which one you want depends on where the guest is standing when they read the label.
Slant-back, for landscape cards
A wedge that holds the card at an angle, read from above. The chafer-line shape: guests approach a hot line looking down, and a tilted card meets their eye instead of the overhead lights. Suits Avery® 5388 and 8371.
Upright frame, for portrait cards
A vertical frame on a small foot, read straight on from a step back. For dessert tables, beverage stations, and any label carrying more than a dish name. Suits Avery® 95273 and 8387, and the half-page sign.
Easel, for full-page signage
A counter or floor easel puts a letter-size sign at standing eye level, which a table holder cannot do. The call for a station name a queue reads on approach rather than at arm's length.

What size holder fits Avery® 5388 labels?
The printed card is 5" × 3" landscape, and no manufacturer cuts a frame to that size. Two things work: an open clip or slotted holder that grips the card’s bottom edge, or a slant-back about half an inch taller than the card, so it rests against the face instead of sliding down it. Slant-back suits a chafer line, where guests read the label from above.
Which BanquetLabel format stands up without a holder?
The 5.5" × 8.5" half-page station sign. It prints as a self-standing fold tent — the design lays out around a centre crease, you fold on the score, and the card stands on the table by itself. Single-fold prints the design on one face; double-fold mirrors it so the tent reads from both directions. It is the only format that folds; the four Avery® formats and the full-page sign print flat.
Do I need holders for buffet labels?
No. Holders are a presentation choice. Plenty of teams lean the cards against the chafer or the dish itself, and on a fast line that is enough. Holders earn their place on longer events, on tables where a flat card gets splashed or buried, and anywhere the label is read from more than a step away — or print the half-page sign as a fold tent and skip the hardware.
